Tender Announcement : Tender for N2O Monitoring System Package in Thailand by UBE Chemicals (Asia) Public Company Limited, From April 24, 2024 till Jun 14, 2024

In a significant stride towards environmental stewardship, UBE Chemicals (Asia) Public Company Limited, hereinafter called “UCHA”, situated  in Rayong, Thailand, announces Tender for N2O Monitoring System Package (Continuous Nitrous Oxide Monitoring Equipment), as part of its cooperation with NACAG/GIZ. This collaboration, formalized in March 2024 through a Grant Agreement, highlights UCHA’s steadfast commitment to mitigating greenhouse gas emissions, particularly from nitric acid production.

The primary aim of this tender is to acquire and deploy state-of-the-art N2O monitoring equipment, with full financial support provided by NACAG/GIZ.

International entities are cordially invited to participate in this pivotal environmental initiative.

Submission deadline for tender inquiry: June 14, 2024 – 16:00 Hr, Bangkok Time Zone.

In part of Technical Specification and Scope of Works, Tenderer will be received via E-mail after Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA) has been signed by both parties.

Established on February 1, 2010, through the merger of Thai Caprolactam Public Company Limited and Ube Nylon (Thailand) Limited, UCHA stands as the sole producer and distributor of caprolactam in Southeast Asia with an annual production capacity of 130,000 tons.

The collaboration between NACAG and UCHA became possible the Thai Government’s commitment to ongoing N2O abatement efforts in caprolactam production. While NACAG primarily targets N2O emissions from nitric acid production, it also extends its support to monitoring and abatement equipment for caprolactam production, owing to the technological similarities and availability of solutions across these sectors.
