KEMAPCO® Signs Supply Contract for Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS) Project

On September 29th, 2025, KEMAPCO® (Arab Fertilizers and Chemicals Industries Ltd.) signed a Supply Contract with Volt Automation (VA) for the Engineering, Delivery, Installation, Start-Up, and Maintenance of Continuous Emission Monitoring System for N2O Concentration, Stack Gas Flow, Data Acquisition and Storage System at Nitric Acid Plant.

This contract follows a Grant Agreement between KEMAPCO® and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, under which GIZ is financing the procurement and installation of the new system. The project is funded by the German Government and implemented under the Nitric Acid Climate Action Group (NACAG) initiative. NACAG works worldwide to abate N₂O emissions from nitric acid plants, including in Jordan, where the government actively promotes sustainable industrial development.

The new System will allow for continuous collection and reporting of data on N2O emission levels and enable precise measurement and control during the subsequent installation of the Nitrous Oxide abatement technology.

KEMAPCO® remains committed to its mission and core values, continually improving its operations in line with its environmental and sustainability policies. This project is another important milestone in advancing both local and global climate action goals.
